"I'm a self-taught artist and have been creating art since my childhood. My creative flair reflects my personal style that has varied over the years portraying my vision art.  I work as a full-time artist from my home studio- The Art Box.

I have a mix of media preferences, including, acrylics, molding paste, textured papers and oil. I am always experimenting with different techniques and styles to discover new ways of expressing my ideas in art form. My inspiration started with NZ landscapes, modern design and colours and my interpretation of NZ culture, native and common flora and fauna with a dominant kiwiana presence.  Even though I’ve been painting for the past 20 years, common birds have become a highlight of my work and hydrangeas and florals have become more recent.

My interest in exhibiting work came from my involvement in coordinating the very successful ACG Strathallan college (Karaka) exhibition from 2003-2011 this gave me the opportunity to meet other talented artist and their works and broaden my knowledge. I continue to be involved in numerous group and solo exhibitions around the country and my art is sold around NZ in selected galleries.

I live in rural Manukau and absolutely enjoy living in a beautiful picturesque environment of rolling hills and my garden- another piece of art I’ve created with my family.

When I’m not painting, I supply my prints, greeting cards, acrylic photo blocks and other gift products to many stores around NZ. One of my main gallery/ gift stores being the former Artport at the International Airport which enabled my works to make their way around the world.

Creating art is my form of relaxation, with every stroke of my brush, the continuing skills I learn along the way and the vibrance of colours, I bring heartfelt satisfaction to myself and the purchaser of my art.

My art is an expression of my journey through life! "
