“A4 Matt & Foamboard - It's all about Bee”

Angie Dennis's artwork for 2020 is inspired by self-reflection and the ongoing search for happiness.  I’ve heard that the secret to happiness is when you stop looking for it.  2020 has been a year none of us will forget due to the global effects of COVID 19. Many people I’ve spoken to have talked about how lockdown was a time of reflection and working out what was important or not to them, as always my pieces aim to create further discussion on the subject.  

I discovered that bees have favourite colours they are attracted to: blue and yellow. The four circles represent the fine balance and interaction of our ecosystems.  They also represent four small things I’d like to try and do to protect the future of the bees and the flora and fauna in general: use less plastic, buy local honey, use less chemicals and plant more flowers (in particular blue and yellow around the garden!).
