Glass Art - Native Flora: Manuka Stem

These miniature objets d'art represent beautiful manuka flowers from Aotearoa.  Each of these beautiful little flowers has been made with detail and colour in mind.

Under the high heat of a specialised torch, glass has been melted and sculpted into flowers and leaves, through the process of lampwork.  Complex techniques have been used to form realistic forms.  Every piece has been made by Selma in her studio.

Flowers measure around 18 to 20mm and leaves are approximately 15mm long.  The stems are made from copper wires and are approximately 9cm long.
