Nick Von K - Black Pounamu Babylon Earrings

Each earring has 6 round cabochons carved from Black Pounamu set in sterling silver and hung on sterling silver hooks.

When I designed these they made me think of hanging plant foliage which led me to remember the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon my Mum used to tell me about when I was a kid. It seemed an appropriate name for these epic earrings. In Bali where I do a lot of designing many of the buildings are overgroan with vines and hanging plants. It's like the tropical jungle has taken back the city making it a magical place to be creative in.
