Sterling Silver Earrings - Nīkau

Based on the distinctive native New Zealand Nīkau Palm tree.  Handcrafted in solid recycled Sterling Silver with recycled Sterling Silver Hooks.

The Nīkau can grow up to 15m tall and is the worlds most southernmost palm.

Maori found many uses for the Nikau. The bases of the inner leaves and the young flower clusters were eaten raw or cooked. Food was wrapped in the leaves for cooking, and the old fibrous leaves were used for baskets, floor mats and waterproof thatch for buildings.
